The trend reports for 2017's wedding and event season are still pouring in. From eco-friendly invitations and outdoor wedding themes to image mapping technology and charity registries, here are our favorite trends of the new year:
2017 Pantone Color of the Year is "Greenery"
Pantone describes 15-0343 Greenery as, "Bringing forth a refreshing take, Greenery is a tangy yellow-green that speaks to our need to explore, experiment, and reinvent. Illustrative of flourishing foliage, the fertile attributes of Greenery signals one to take a deep breath, oxygenate, and reinvigorate." Greenery is a fitting color for this year's wedding and event trends. Not to mention, it's probably a good idea to add any color to the palette that signals a deep breath on your big wedding day.
Bring the Outside In
Hosting an event that creates an enchanting outdoor atmosphere for the guests is on trend in 2017. Our rustic barn wood furniture sets the stage for that enchanted-forest-look. Try adding oversized potted plants, using organic decor, and hanging flowers over the tables and dance floor to really impress your guests. Although it's more tech-based, image mapping technology can be an eco-friendly alternative to transform your event space with images and lighting instead of costly flowers and natural decor.
Locally Sourced and Eco Friendly
For food and flowers, opt for seasonal and locally sourced offerings. Invitations, place cards, and toiletries can all be replaced with eco-friendly alternatives. After the event, consider gathering all of the flowers and decor that would otherwise go to waste and donate them to a local nursing home or hospital to spread the joy and beauty. One of our absolute favorite wedding trends for 2017 is the rise of charity registries in lieu of gifts.
